Lawn/Landscape Terms and Conditions Agreements Policy
1) All invoices are sent out at the end of each month and have a 30 day term or due date, after each term a 5% late fee will be applied to the total amount owing and all work will not resume until the amount is paid in full.
*After 90 days (3 months) of consistently being late all services will be permanently terminated and the amount owing will be due within 3 days, if this is not paid within the 72 hours it will be sent to a collections agency.
2) Payments can be made by e-transfer, mailed cheque or credit card.
E-transfers and mailed cheque information is provided on each invoice, credit cards can be filled out on a form that will be provided and must be sent back (contact for this form) or can be filled out over the phone confidentially.
(4% credit card charge excluded)
3a) When landscape services are being provided on the property all toys, dog poop (unless you are on a pay-per-poo program), furniture or other home/business possessions must be out of the way, if not removed work will be done around or not at all if decided by landscaper/gardener on site.
3b) All lawn cutting height should be anywhere from 2.5"- 3.5", cutting more than 1/3 of the grass blade will lead to scalping and inviting all kinds of weeds to thrive, during the summer months it is a good idea to allow the lawn to grow about 0.5" longer.
4a)Maintenance prices are a flat rate cost per month excluding a small fuel surcharge, unless extra services are requested or recommended and agreed upon throughout the year which will be added to the invoice separately as they are completed.
(Example 1 of maintenance visits: If there are 4 visits in one month you will be charged your monthly flat rate, if there are 5 visits in one month you will be charged your monthly flat rate)
(Example 2 of extra costs: large hedge trimming, tree pruning, overseeding, garden bed topping/mulching, irrigation services, weed treatments, liming, projects and others labeled as additional..)
4b) If at anytime during your agreement your landscape changes from the original layout and is part of your maintenance package your agreement becomes invalid and will need to be revised and will require a new monthly estimate, this may be disregarded if discussed beforehand.
4c) ) If your property has had a massive growth due to weather conditions, having to rechedule your service day or for any reason the landscape property has already been maintained and someone has done our job you will be immediately skipped until the next visit and still billed your monthly rate, if this is to occur 3 times in a season your agreement will be terminated and charged a cancellation fee accordingly.
4d) Projects and extra work scheduled is based off an hourly rate of $85/per man hour or will be a flat rate depending on the service required, all estimates and quotes preformed are free of charge for the first 3 provided.
5a) If your service day lands on a holiday, rain day or for any reason we cannot be there you will be automatically moved to the day before or after, if the day is missed you will be notified and the work will be caught up the following week.
5b) If you are planning a special event or any gatherings during our site visits (birthday, wedding, showers, ect) please notify us at least 24 hours beforehand to accommodate any changes to your service day.
6a) Irrigation system customers must allow they're system, controller and irrigation service boxes easily accessible for maintenance and servicing by the technician, note: lawns require 1.0"- 1.5" of water per week from either rainfall or irrigation if possible to keep it healthy and lush especially if you are on a weed/fertilizer program to help activate the products being applied, also keep in mind that overwatering can lead to pests and deseases.
6b) If your irrigation system has not been winterized the following year we do not service it or carry any liability for any damage to your system if it occurs, blowing your system out is a must for all customers for your own benefit.
7) Monthly rates are set costs from March/February - December based on your yearly price and broken into payments per month to cover services you have agreed upon depending on your properties requirements, these rates are excluding extra services agreed upon.
Throughout the year some months may have biweekly visits due to weather changes in the summer or the end of the year as it enters into dormancy (our weather can be very unpredictable!) these services are regarding weekly maintenance clients ONLY, this does not include biweekly, lawn care only or 12 month agreement contract customers.
8) If you are requesting to have services cancelled sometime between March - December you must give 30 days notice and all services must finish the current month you are in and you will be charged a $99+GST/cancellation policy fee. (this fee excludes and may be waived due to moving to another home, sudden health issues, emergency situations or other unfortunate circumstances and you must contact our office immediately)
9) Fall/Leaf cleanup leaves may be left on side curb for city pickup if available in your municipality.
